GOT7 member Park Jinyoung has shared his initial impressions of 100 Days of Deception, the period drama that will mark his return to the tvN screen. The production, directed by Yoo In Shik, the mastermind behind Extraordinary Attorney Woo and the Dr. Romantic series, premieres on October 10 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
What is 100 Days of Deception about?
100 Days of Deception is a spy romance drama set during the Japanese occupation of Korea, with a plot that unfolds over 100 days. The story follows Lee Ga Kyeong (played by Kim You Jung), the best pickpocket in Gyeongseong, present-day Seoul, who becomes an undercover spy for the independence movement and infiltrates the Japanese Government-General of Korea.
In that environment, Lee Ga Kyeong becomes entangled with the interpreter Kim Tae Woong, also known as Sato Hideo, played by Park Jinyoung. Sato Hideo is the adopted son of Sato Shinichi (played by Jin Sun Kyu), the Inspector General of Korea and the second-highest-ranking official in the colonial administration.
According to the shared synopsis, after returning to Korea for the first time in approximately ten years, Sato Hideo takes on an important mission as an interpreter, as he is fluent in Japanese, English, and Korean.
