AMAE Awards 2025: These are the nominees for best Spanish audiovisual editing

The Association of Audiovisual Editors of Spain (AMAE) has made public the names of the professionals nominated for the second edition of its awards, which recognize editing work in film, series, documentaries, advertising, and other audiovisual formats.

The event gains relevance at a time when the Spanish audiovisual sector is increasingly seeking to make key technical professions in visual storytelling, such as editing, more visible, as they often remain in the background compared to other more high-profile disciplines in film and television.

Ten categories and an Honorary Award

This second edition expands the number of categories compared to the previous call, covering everything from fiction and documentary feature films to series, entertainment programs, music videos, advertising, and assistant editing. In addition, an Honorary Award will be presented out of competition.

The nominations were decided through a voting process open to all members and associates of the AMAE association, which underscores the professional and participatory nature of these awards.

The gala, November 28 in Madrid

The winners will be announced on Saturday, November 28, during a ceremony that will take place at the Cineteca de Matadero Madrid.

The organization of this second edition has had the support of the Ministry of Culture through the Cultural Rights Plan, as well as the collaboration of Madrid Film Office and VAFF Enrique Cerezo, and the sponsorship of Adobe.
