Who plays whom in Siren
Kim Ji Woong as Do Yoon
Kim Ji Woong plays Do Yoon, the youngest son of the powerful Kangsung Group and a student at the police academy. Although he grew up without material wants, he decided to become a police officer after experiencing an incident that marked a turning point in his life.
Driven by an overflowing passion for investigations, Do Yoon does not hesitate to use his money and connections to solve even the most complicated cases. His unconventional way of acting constantly puts him in conflict with Si Woo, the character played by Kang Ki Young, who prioritizes rules and practicality.
Kang Ki Young as Si Woo
Kang Ki Young plays Si Woo, a star detective at the Gangnam police station. Hired through a special recruitment program, Si Woo works hard to make ends meet while dedicating himself entirely to his investigations in the hope of earning a promotion.

How the characters’ paths cross
The two men, who never wanted to see each other again, meet the next day at the Gangnam police station. This time they are paired as detective and police academy trainee, with Si Woo taking on the role of mentor to Do Yoon.
To complicate matters further, Si Woo is tasked with convincing Do Yoon to abandon his ambition of becoming a police officer. The conflict erupts when the detective, focused on getting a promotion, is forced to take charge of a trainee he never wanted to have.
Si Woo's determination to get rid of Do Yoon and Do Yoon's refusal to give up on his dream end up leading to an unexpected partnership. The chemistry between the two as reluctant investigation partners is shaping up to be one of the film's strong points.
