Netflix continues to trim its DreamWorks Animation catalog, and in November 2026, it is the turn of two children's titles that are very popular with families with young children. Rhyme Time Town, along with its musical spinoff, will leave the platform on November 15, while Dragons: Rescue Riders and its three specials will say goodbye on November 24.
Although both series are listed as Netflix Originals on the platform, that label does not mean that Netflix owns the content. In the case of DreamWorks Animation Television productions, Netflix paid for exclusive streaming rights for a fixed period, while DreamWorks and its parent company, NBCUniversal, retained long-term rights. Those agreements have been expiring one by one for several years, and these are the last two to run out.
Below are the full details of what is disappearing and the dates each title originally arrived on Netflix:
November 15: Rhyme Time Town (seasons 1 and 2, added in June 2020 and June 2021) and Rhyme Time Town Singalongs (added in December 2020).
November 24: Dragons: Rescue Riders (seasons 1 and 2, added in September 2019 and February 2020), Dragons: Rescue Riders: Hunt for the Golden Dragon (added in March 2020), Dragons: Rescue Riders: Secrets of the Songwing (added in July 2020), and Dragons: Rescue Riders: Huttsgalor Holiday (added in November 2020).
Rhyme Time Town leaves Netflix on November 15
Developed by Dan Berlinka for DreamWorks Animation Television, Rhyme Time Town reimagined classic nursery rhymes through the eyes of two preschool children: Daisy the puppy and Cole the kitten. Characters like Humpty Dumpty, Mary Mary, Old MacDonald, and the Itsy Bitsy Spider accompanied the adventure.
Each episode combined two short stories built around original songs, making the series a reliable entertainment option for children under five.
The first season arrived in June 2020, followed by a 10-episode spinoff titled Singalongs that same December, and a second season of 15 episodes in June 2021. That second batch turned out to be the last, and approximately five and a half years later, all the content is being removed at once.
Dragons: Rescue Riders says goodbye on November 24
The loss that many families will notice most is that of Dragons: Rescue Riders, the preschool spinoff of the How to Train Your Dragon franchise. The series followed twins Dak and Leyla, who were raised by dragons and could speak with them, as they protected the Viking town of Huttsgalor alongside their dragon friends Winger, Summer, Cutter, Burple, and Aggro. The characters featured the voices of Nicolas Cantu and Brennley Brown.
Netflix aired two seasons, with 26 episodes in total, between September 2019 and February 2020, in addition to three 46-minute specials: the treasure hunt adventure Hunt for the Golden Dragon, the musical Secrets of the Songwing, featuring Renée Elise Goldsberry (known for Hamilton), and the holiday special Huttsgalor Holiday. The latter will leave Netflix exactly six years after its premiere.
If the absence of the series seems familiar, it is because it has moved once before. In November 2021, DreamWorks relaunched the project on Peacock under the title Dragons Rescue Riders: Heroes of the Sky, where four additional seasons aired until September 2022. The two original Netflix seasons and the three specials have never been available for streaming on any other service in the United States, so Peacock would be the logical destination once the Netflix rights expire, although nothing official has been announced yet. In the meantime, all episodes and specials from the Netflix era can be purchased digitally on Apple TV and Prime Video.
The DreamWorks exodus on Netflix continues, with one exception
Rhyme Time Town and Dragons: Rescue Riders join a long list of DreamWorks series that have left Netflix throughout 2026. The entire Captain Underpants franchise was removed in January, appearing on Peacock that same day. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power left in February, and Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts in June. The Spooky Tale of Captain Underpants Hack-a-ween is still pending this year, with its departure scheduled for December 4.
Typically, DreamWorks titles are removed five to six years after the arrival of their final season, a pattern that holds true in both cases. However, this is not a fixed rule. Spirit Riding Free had its stay extended beyond its original removal date and is now scheduled until 2030. There is also a more recent example: The Boss Baby: Back in Business was expected to leave on November 17, 2026, six years after its fourth and final season, but that date has not been confirmed. The title does not appear on Netflix's November removal list nor does it show an expiration notice on its page, suggesting that its four seasons will remain available for the time being.
Netflix does not usually comment on the removal of Original content beyond including it in its listings, and licensing agreements can change at the last minute. Therefore, any changes to the departure dates for Rhyme Time Town or Dragons: Rescue Riders will be updated if they occur.
