Namgoong Ho and Lee Mi Do have supported each other for a long time, but the deep wounds both were hiding ended up becoming a breaking point in their relationship. Namgoong Ho, abandoned and used by his biological mother, has carried that pain alone, determined not to become a burden to Lee Mi Do.
During a mud fight on the tidal flats, the character revealed the anxiety hidden behind his considerate attitude and admitted that a part of him—ten percent, in his own words—harbored an impure desire to hurt his partner. From that moment on, Namgoong Ho begins to look beyond his long-term relationship and becomes interested in someone new: Park Soo Ah.
Lee Mi Do and Han Tae Seung, an unexpected connection
Lee Mi Do had lost self-confidence and carried trauma related to film production due to repeated professional failures. Han Tae Seung managed to see the side of her she preferred to ignore, awakening feelings of excitement in Lee Mi Do that were unknown to her.

Han Tae Seung’s dark past
Han Tae Seung committed arson driven by a desire for revenge after the ruthless violence he suffered in an orphanage during his childhood. Since then, he lived under the orders of Seo Jae Hyuk (Kwak Si Yang), who used that secret to keep him under control.
His self-esteem became so low that he described himself as a dog that never knows when it will be abandoned. He later left the Jaegang law firm and opened his own office, although a series of clients canceling their contracts has left him facing serious difficulties in supporting himself.
Park Soo Ah and the pain of a past marked by scandal
Park Soo Ah carries the pain of having lost both her dream of becoming a journalist and her closest friend, Ji Soo Yeon (played by Kim Seung Hee), following a scandal involving her father, a former national team athlete.
Namgoong Ho, whom she met in the past on Haemado Island, helped her overcome her emotional wounds. The two later reunited as coworkers and discovered they shared deep wounds related to their biological mothers.
Despite her appearance of strength, Park Soo Ah had avoided facing her past. However, when Namgoong Ho asks if he can be curious about her, the character begins to open up to the possibility of a new relationship.
