Between October 19 and 25, the platform's catalog is refreshed with titles ranging from action cinema to true crime and international comedy.
Below, we review the most notable premieres of the week, as well as the complete day-by-day list of everything coming to Netflix.
The most notable Netflix premieres of the week
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 arrives on Tuesday
The second season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners returns to the streets of Night City following the massive success of its first installment. This time, director Kai Ikarashi takes over from Hiroyuki Imaishi and focuses the plot on an entirely new cast of characters living on the edge.
The story is told through Roman, a twelve-year-old aspiring filmmaker who documents, with an 80s and 90s aesthetic digital camera, the chaotic lives of a Nomad seeking revenge and mercenaries affected by cyberpsychosis. The series combines a new visual approach, a soundtrack that includes The Cure, and a deeply human look at broken characters trying to rebuild themselves.
Gladiator and Gladiator II arrive together on Wednesday
Gladiator II, directed by Ridley Scott, makes its streaming debut this Wednesday, the same day the original 2000 Oscar-winning film also arrives. In the sequel, Lucius (Paul Mescal), now an adult, is forced to enter the Colosseum to fight for his life and the future of the empire following the conquest of his home.
The cast includes Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, and Denzel Washington in a scene-stealing role.
Lupin returns with its fourth part on Friday
Omar Sy returns to play Assane Diop in the new installment of Lupin, titled Part 4. After the twists and tension of Part 3, fans of the French series will be able to see how the charismatic thief faces his most dangerous adversaries to date, with new high-stakes heists and ingenious disguises.
