The MBN network has shared new images of Sung Hoon in its upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama, What a Boss Wants, in which the actor appears fully immersed in the role of a business tycoon who, despite having it all, hides deep loneliness and struggles with insomnia.
The series, based on a web novel of the same name, will premiere on November 11 at 10:20 PM (Korean time). It is a romantic drama centered on the story between a chaebol boss who lacks a sense of taste and the lead singer of an indie band whose voice completely changes his orderly and rational life.
What is What a Boss Wants about?
What a Boss Wants follows Kwon Do Hyuk, played by Sung Hoon, the sole heir to a powerful chaebol family. He is an extremely rational person, capable of developing his own artificial intelligence, and who prioritizes data and logic over emotions in every aspect of his life.
However, behind that facade of control and perfection, Kwon Do Hyuk hides a loneliness that accompanies him every night in the form of insomnia. Everything begins to change when he becomes obsessed with finding the woman whose voice he heard on a music album, unaware that this search will completely alter the balance he has worked so hard to maintain.
The role of Lee Eun Chae, played by Oh Se Young
The other protagonist of the story is Lee Eun Chae, played by Oh Se Young, the lead singer of an indie band. She becomes the only unexpected variable within the carefully controlled life of Kwon Do Hyuk.
According to the official synopsis, Kwon Do Hyuk has always relied solely on clear and verifiable data, so the fact that he begins to feel emotions he cannot explain or predict through logic awakens an intrigue in him that will mark the beginning of his love story with Lee Eun Chae.
