Kaitlin Olson and the rest of the High Potential cast have come together to show their support for their co-star Matthew Lamb following the death of his mother. The 14-year-old actor shared an emotional message this week confirming the passing of his mother, Meredith, which occurred last Saturday.

In his post, Lamb explained that he wasn't sure how to express what he was feeling. "As I'm sure many of you know, my mom passed away this Saturday. She was everything to me. She homeschooled me, she taught me empathy, she did everything for our family. She always had the biggest smile and gave the best hugs. Truly the most generous person I know," he wrote.
The young actor continued by describing how difficult it is to process the loss: "It still doesn't feel real. I'm not sure it ever will. She loved and supported everyone authentically. I don't know how we're going to get through this, but we're going to try. Every day I'm going to miss telling her about my day, talking to her, and watching our favorite shows together."
Lamb added that he never thought he would have to face something like this so soon. "There is so much she is going to miss out on in my life, but I am grateful for the things she was able to experience. I love you, Mom," he concluded in his message.
Kaitlin Olson and the High Potential cast respond with messages of support
Kaitlin Olson, who plays a Los Angeles police consultant with an exceptionally high IQ in the series, was one of the first to publicly respond to the young actor.
"Your mom was a gift, Matthew," Olson wrote in the comments. "She just radiated joy and kindness... and the way she lit up when she looked at you... that can never be taken away. You are forever her pride and joy. I am here for you forever."
