The 35th Buil Film Awards have announced their winners. The ceremony was held on October 7 at the SIGNIEL BUSAN, with Kim Nam Gil and Chun Woo Hee hosting the gala, one of the most important cinematic recognitions in South Korean cinema.
The film HOPE was the star of the night, taking home five trophies and becoming the most awarded work of this edition. However, the Best Film award went to The World of Love, which also saw its lead actress, Seo Su Bin, win Best Actress.
Meanwhile, The King's Warden also had a standout night, with Yoo Hae Jin winning the Best Actor award, while Jeon Mi Do and Park Ji Hoon took home the Star of the Year awards in the female and male categories, respectively.
HOPE, the big winner of the night
HOPE won in five categories, solidifying its position as the most celebrated production of this edition of the Buil Film Awards. Its awards included Best Director for Na Hong Jin, Best Supporting Actor for Eum Moon Suk, Best New Actress for Jung Ho Yeon, Best Cinematography for Hong Kyung Pyo, and Best Artistic and Technical Achievement for Lee Hoo Kyung in the art category.
The World of Love and The King’s Warden also shine
Although HOPE collected the most statuettes, The World of Love took home the most important award of the evening, Best Film, in addition to the Best Actress award for Seo Su Bin.
