Park Yu Rim has shared details about her character in the upcoming film Triste Tropiques, where she brings to life an assassin who is as mysterious as she is unpredictable.
The film tells the story of the members of an assassin organization of the same name, who grew up like siblings under the tutelage of a master. Following his death, the group members swear a bloody revenge as suspicions begin to arise among them.

Park Yu Rim plays Jojo, an enigmatic and unpredictable assassin. Unlike the rest of the organization's members, Jojo joined the group of her own volition as a child and blindly follows the absolute authority of Master, played by Kim Myung Min.
To fully embody this character, who eliminates her targets in a cold and ruthless manner, the actress underwent an intense preparation process. Because Jojo speaks Japanese, Park Yu Rim practiced repeatedly with a Japanese instructor even before filming began.
Likewise, she constantly corrected her posture in front of a mirror to get used to the weight of heavy weapons and the jarring sound of gunfire, with the goal of perfecting the action scenes involving firearms.

The actress shared her impressions of this new acting challenge. "As an actress, I felt immense joy in challenging myself with something new and being able to portray a wide range of emotions," she noted.
She added that, unlike other characters in the story, Jojo does not easily reveal her emotions, but rather hides them completely. "I think this unique charm will be another one of the highlights of the film," she stated.

Cinematographer Kim Young Ho also spoke about Park Yu Rim's performance in very positive terms. "Her anxiety, her honesty, and her piercing gaze were Jojo herself. Behind her sad and dazed eyes, she carried an unease that seemed capable of exploding at any moment. It was the best possible casting," he declared.
