The upcoming South Korean film White Blast has revealed a new teaser that intensifies the mystery surrounding its central plot. The preview shows the first major clash between its two leads, played by Kim Yun Seok and Koo Kyo Hwan, after they both discover a corpse under disturbing circumstances.
White Blast is a mystery thriller centered on Gap Soo (Kim Yun Seok), a station master about to retire, and Hyun Taek (Koo Kyo Hwan), his newly appointed successor. The story unfolds at a rural train station isolated by an intense snowstorm, where both men stumble upon a lifeless body that changes everything.
What the new White Blast teaser shows
The newly released teaser begins with Gap Soo preparing for his final shift at Seoloh Station, just after receiving a call warning him that his successor's arrival will likely be delayed. Shortly after, Gap Soo is surprised to see Hyun Taek already in the station office and mutters in confusion: I didn't hear any car, creating a strange sense of tension from the very first moment.
As the two characters proceed with the handover, they discover a mysterious corpse in a nearby tunnel and rush back to Seoloh Station. When Hyun Taek insists they should report it to the police, Gap Soo responds by pointing a weapon at him, sparking a tense confrontation between the two.
The arrival of the officers during the storm
Lieutenant Choi, played by Park Soo Young, and Officer Yang, played by Roh Yoon Seo, are sent to the scene after receiving the report, but they end up trapped by the heavy snowfall, further aggravating an already critical situation.
In the midst of the tense standoff, Gap Soo delivers an ambiguous line: Seoloh Station is busy today. Isn't it?, while Hyun Taek desperately tries to justify himself, pleading: Please, just listen to me. The relationship between the two characters, marked by mutual distrust and the inability to let their guard down for a single moment, leaves several questions open about what will happen next.
White Blast release date
White Blast will hit theaters on November 18. For now, the available information is limited to what has been shown in the released teasers, so additional details about the plot will be revealed in the coming weeks leading up to the premiere.
