The streaming lineup is renewed this week with offerings that combine emotion, drama, and nostalgia. Among the most anticipated titles is a documentary focused on the life of Matthew Perry, the Friends actor who passed away in 2023, whose figure continues to generate interest among the public years after his death.
Joining this premiere is a drama and romance film set in the world of motor racing, in addition to other offerings designed for those looking for content suited to the Halloween season. The variety of genres makes this week a great opportunity to find something to watch without leaving home.
The One About Matthew Perry arrives on Netflix
Netflix is adding The One About Matthew Perry to its catalog, a documentary series dedicated to reviewing the life and career of the actor, remembered primarily for his role as Chandler Bing in the iconic series Friends.
The project arrives at a time when Perry's figure continues to be the subject of media attention, both for his acting legacy and the circumstances surrounding his passing. The production joins the wave of biographical documentaries that platforms have promoted in recent years to address the lives of popular figures from a more intimate perspective.
Drive - The Pretenders: romance and speed in Formula 1
The other major premiere of the week is Drive - The Pretenders, a film that blends drama and romance in the competitive universe of racing and Formula 1.
The plot follows Sarah Jenkins, a young mechanic, and Dante Annunziata, a renowned and arrogant driver. Both are forced to fake an engagement while she secretly seeks her own opportunity to compete behind the wheel.

As the story progresses, the adrenaline of the track mixes with feelings that were not planned. That combination ends up complicating the personal and professional plans of both protagonists, in a proposal that bets on romance within a high-competition environment.
Drive - The Pretenders is scheduled to premiere on October 28, just before the end of the month, making it one of the most talked-about options for the weekend leading up to Halloween.
