Netflix has unveiled the first official look at You, Me, Us, the new Italian drama arriving on the platform following its debut at the Rome Film Festival. The film stars Elio Germano and Maria Chiara Giannetta, who portray a couple defined by their differences, whose relationship is put to the test when they decide to begin the process of adopting a child.
The film, also known in Italy as Noi, un po' meglio, will arrive on Netflix on October 29, 2026. Netflix has already shared an official trailer along with a first batch of production stills.
What is You, Me, Us about?
You, Me, Us is an original Netflix drama directed by Daniele Luchetti, with a screenplay by Enrico Audenino, Davide Lantieri, and Serena Patrignanelli. The production was handled by the independent Italian company Lucky Red.
According to the official synopsis provided by Netflix, Simone (Elio Germano) and Lucia (Maria Chiara Giannetta) are two opposites: he is a methodical man who loves rules and family celebrations, while she is independent, allergic to conventions, and has always been reluctant to motherhood. Despite their differences, their relationship is solid, and every disagreement eventually gives way to love and complicity, until something changes.
When the challenge of adopting a child arises, this new adventure brings their deepest differences to the surface. Netflix describes the film as a sentimental comedy focused on the need to face one's own fears and desires in an attempt to become a slightly better version of oneself.
Premiere at the Rome Film Festival
You, Me, Us had its first screening at the 2026 edition of the Rome Film Festival, although it was not part of the official Grand Public competition section.
