The historical drama Sword & Silence has unveiled a new main poster showing its four protagonists facing the fate of their respective kingdoms in the midst of war.
The series is directed by Kim Yeong Jo, who was also responsible for Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, and chronicles how the small kingdom of Silla managed to prevail over much stronger powers like Goguryeo, Baekje, and China's Tang dynasty to achieve the unification of the Three Kingdoms.
A poster filled with determination
In the new image, Lee Hyun Wook appears in the role of Kim Pom Min, wearing royal robes with a firm gaze, reflecting his unwavering determination to protect Silla. His expression conveys the weight of duty and the anguish he carries as the thirtieth king of Silla, tasked with safeguarding his people amidst the ravages of war.
The slogan accompanying the poster, The final war, written in blood, for a unified nation, points to the turbulent journey of Kim Pom Min, who evolves from an ordinary man into a true ruler throughout the story.
Kim Chun Chu, Kim Yu Shin, and Yeon Gaesomun prepare for battle
Alongside Lee Hyun Wook, the poster features Kim Kang Woo as Kim Chun Chu, Park Sung Woong as Kim Yu Shin, and Jang Hyuk as Yeon Gaesomun, all three facing their common enemy, the Tang dynasty, with iron resolve.
While Kim Chun Chu and Kim Yu Shin prepare for a decisive battle with solemn expressions, Yeon Gaesomun conveys absolute confidence as he seeks to take the initiative through brute force. The bottom of the poster, meanwhile, portrays a battlefield engulfed in conflict.
What the production says about the poster
The production team explained: The main poster captures the solemn determination of those who have drawn their swords with the fate of their nation at stake. We ask for your interest in the journeys of Kim Pom Min, Kim Chun Chu, Kim Yu Shin, and Yeon Gaesomun as they navigate the storm of war and race toward their respective goals.
