The upcoming romantic drama Oh! My Guard has released new photos showing the unexpected first meeting between its two leads, played by CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa and Hong Seung Hee.
Oh! My Guard tells the unpredictable love story between Uhm Tae Bong (Jung Yong Hwa), a top-tier actor with a fatal flaw, and Oh Hae Ra (Hong Seung Hee), a mysterious woman convinced she is Cha Hong Doo, the female lead from one of the actor's dramas.
A first meeting full of misunderstandings
In the series, Jung Yong Hwa plays Uhm Tae Bong, a major star who rose to fame thanks to his romantic dramas but flatly refuses to film kiss scenes. For her part, Hong Seung Hee plays Oh Hae Ra, a reserved heiress and a lifelong fan of Uhm Tae Bong.
The newly released images capture the strange circumstances surrounding their first meeting. In them, Oh Hae Ra appears with her hood pulled so tight that her face is barely visible, while Uhm Tae Bong holds onto the edge of her clothing.
The conflict between the two stems from the hoodie Oh Hae Ra is wearing. It is a limited-edition item that Uhm Tae Bong had lost, so upon seeing it on the young woman, the actor suspects she might be a thief or a stalker.
For Oh Hae Ra, however, Uhm Tae Bong has been her favorite star for years, someone she had only ever seen on television. Her joy at finally meeting him in person quickly turns to confusion when he immediately accuses her of being a thief.
What the production team says about this scene

They stated that they invite the audience to enjoy the lively back-and-forth between the two leads, whose relationship begins in a bumpy way, as well as the chemistry that develops between Jung Yong Hwa and Hong Seung Hee throughout the story.
