The new South Korean film Typhoon (working title) has officially confirmed its cast. Koo Kyo Hwan, Han Ji Min, Oh Jung Se, Han Sun Hwa, Kim Eung Soo, Oh Min Ae, Kim Yo Han and Choi Ji Su lead the cast of this production that blends comedy with survival drama.
The project, directed by Lee Jung Ho, who also wrote the screenplay, has already begun filming after holding a script reading in late September. The release is scheduled for 2027.

Koo Kyo Hwan plays Jin Mo, an ordinary office worker from a small provincial town. Despite graduating from Seoul University and joining a large corporation, he has been stuck in the position of assistant manager for years.
Han Ji Min plays Jae Yi, Jin Mo's wife. She is a determined woman and a former promising figure recognized by her publishing house. After quitting her job to balance raising her children with her work life, she dreams of becoming a YouTuber. Her wit and knowledge of practical everyday hacks become key tools for surviving the disaster.
Oh Jung Se plays Sang Hyuk, a friend of the main couple and a 119 emergency service rescuer, who gets trapped with them while trying to help them.
Han Sun Hwa plays Rose, the owner of a guesthouse known for being stingy when it comes to offering discounts on accommodation, although deep down she dreams of finding love. With this project, the actress reunites with Koo Kyo Hwan and Oh Jung Se, with whom she previously shared the screen in the series We Are All Trying Here.
Kim Eung Soo plays Hyun Deok and Oh Min Ae plays Pil Ja. Both characters form a couple who have been together for 48 years and travel the country in a motorhome.
The cast is completed by Kim Yo Han as Dae Han and Choi Ji Su as Cha Young, a couple preparing to get married who cross paths with Jin Mo and Jae Yi in the midst of the chaos caused by the typhoon.
